Vintage armchair polar theme
For Oscar’s baptism, his godfather and godmother wanted to give him a personalized armchair, rich in family symbolism.
As a descendant of a Belgian lineage of polar explorers, Oscar deserved a unique creation celebrating this heritage.
The small armchair, found second-hand, was custom-decorated to evoke the magic of the polar world.
Set against a striped background in navy blue, sky blue, and white, it features iconic animals: little penguins, a mother penguin and her baby nestled together, a majestic whale, a polar bear and her cub, a cheerful seal, a puffin, and a playful sea lion.
To add a touch of brightness, I included one of Antarctica’s rare flowers: the Antarctic pearlwort, whose yellow accents bring light and warmth to the design.
A poetic and unique armchair, designed to accompany Oscar throughout his childhood and to be passed down to future generations.
